Number #: 99
High School (Grade Fall 2026): Going into grade 13
Position: LT ,DL ,TE

Why is summer football so important to you?
Because I get to connect with all of the boys, including long-term friends, from other high schools that I don’t get to play with during the high school season. As well as staying in shape and in my peak performance, continuing in to high school or university.

What are your personal and team-oriented goals for the upcoming 2026 OSFL season?
We are going to win this season and prove to all these other cities that they are wrong about Sault Ste. Marie football. Everyone undermines us because we are a smaller city and we are just moving into AAA this year. They don’t think we got what it takes and they have no idea what is coming. And as for myself, I want to be the best leader I can be, lifting everyone else up, working my hardest at all times, never quitting and being a league All-Star by the end of the season.

What are you most looking forward to playing this season for the Sabercats?
It’s honestly hard to pick. I love all the possessions I play, but I’m all for hitting. I love hitting hard, but I also love working on my techniques on the offensive line and maybe we will even see some tight end action this year you never know.

For anyone that is not familiar with your play style, how would you describe yourself as a player?
A high-effort, instinctive, two-way impact player who plays fast and stays around the ball.

Who is your biggest football role model? Could be a coach, teammate?
I would have to say Coach Matt Gautier and Daik Gautier because along with being extremely skilled they are always pushing everyone else as hard as they can and really are driven by everyone else’s success. I’m lucky to be coached by him and to have played with Daik. They completely changed the game for me.

How do you stay motivated and focused during a game or practice?
It’s as easy as believing in yourself and in your teammates. If we all work hard as a collective group, we can achieve great things and it will show from practice to game.

What do you think makes a great leader on the football field?
A great football leader sets the tone through effort, stays composed under pressure, communicates clearly, and holds both themselves and teammates accountable, all while understanding the game and bringing consistent energy. This makes everyone around them play better, not just standing out individually. You don’t have to be the best player on the field in order to be a leader. The best leader could be a person who doesn’t play, but is always there, always grinding, always wanting more.

What is your greatest accomplishment as a football player?
My greatest accomplishment as a football player is having the opportunity to possibly play for the University of Waterloo after my grade 13 year.

What makes you the best candidate for this position that the coaches have asked you to play?
I don’t fool around and by that I mean, yes, I like to have fun yes I like to be outgoing. Yes, I like to have great connections with all of my teammates but no, I will not screw around during practice. Practice is a time to get better, it is not a time to be monkeying around. Obviously that doesn’t mean practice shouldn’t be fun for you. Practice should always be fun.

What do you think is the most important aspect of being a member of a team?
Simply just knowing you’re a member of a team as all of us know there is no I in team.

Finally, what do you think is the most important quality for a football player to possess compared to other sports?
Discipline. Football is more structured than most sports. Every play has assignments, timing and trust between all players. Unlike soccer or basketball where you can improvise more freely. One person not doing their job in football can break the entire play. That’s why the best players aren’t just talented they’re insanely disciplined in doing their job every single snap.
