Coach Marco Bernabucci of the Colts told Saultsports that “I thought we played well for the majority of the game. We were a bit rusty in some area’s, but that is expected. I am proud of our guys and it was nice to see how they reacted being in critical situations. We have a lot of youth on our club and they rose the challenge. Definitely excited for the year I think we can all agree it was fantastic just to have the kids playing again.”
“It was definitely great to be back out on the field. We competed against a very talented, well coached team over there at Korah. I give our guys alot credit, they battled hard and showed some grit and toughness. Our staff has begun to look at what we need to work on to be prepared for next week. The kids had fun and learned allot, they also showed a huge improvement from the beginning of training camp. I was happy with our effort,” added White Pines coach Cody Boissineau.
