In first senior Sault Ste Marie High School Senior football action since the fall of 2019, the Superior Heights Steelhawks faced the St Mary’s Knights on Saturday, September 11th in a 1:00 p.m kickoff at Superior Heights under wet and cloudy conditions.
The Steelhawks earned their first victory since 2019 with a 28 – 11 win over the Knights in the lone senior game of opening day on Saturday afternoon in Sault Ste Marie.

“The guys played well today. We are happy with the progress but not satisfied with where we are at. We have to refocus, clean up our mistakes and have a better performance versus a very strong Korah football team,” Superior Heights coach Paul Orazietti added after the Steelhawks win.

The Knights will now have a bye until September 24th when they meet the Steelhawks in a 7:30 p.m senior start while the Steelhawks take on the Korah Colts on September 17th in a 7:30 p.m kickoff. All high school football games will be live on Saultsports Radio.
