Teams are finding their rhythms and getting an idea of what is and isn’t working this season heading into week three of the high school football junior and senior. For some teams, it’s good news, but for others, it means there is a lot of work to be put in.

Week three of Sault Ste. Marie high school football is set for an exciting slate as both junior and senior teams take the field at Superior Heights on Thursday, September 18th and Friday, September 19th.

The junior schedule opens Thursday at 4:45 p.m. with the (1-1) Superior Heights Steelhawks hosting the (1-1) Korah Colts in what promises to be a tightly contested matchup, before attention shifts to Friday when the (1-1) St. Mary’s Knights square off against the (0-2) White Pines Wolverines, who are still looking for their first win of the season.

In senior action, Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. brings the week’s marquee showdown as the unbeaten (2-0) Superior Heights Steelhawks and (2-0) Korah Colts collide in a battle for early-season supremacy, followed by a Friday night clash between the (0-2) St. Mary’s Knights and (0-2) White Pines Wolverines as both teams aim to turn their seasons around.
