Thunderbird women’s coach Katie Hamilton told Saultsports that “I was really impressed with our team Saturday vs Carleton. I thought they really took the things they learned facing a top 10 in Ottawa Friday where we looked a little out of our league, made the necessary adjustments and battled much better against number 2 ranked Carleton on Saturday. Just like our previous weekend, I was really pleased with our total team effort. I think we are getting great energy, productivity and minutes from our bench, which will be so impactful for us down the stretch here as we play some very important games coming up. We are looking forward to going head to head with two great teams next weekend. Again, we believe if we stick with the game plan and execute accordingly, we give ourselves a chance to compete with anyone in our league, and I think we proved that to ourselves and our fans on Saturday. We hope to see big crowds out next weekend at home!!!”
