As the American Hockey League (AHL) nears the commencement of its two conference finals, its 2023-24 season has seen 70-plus Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) alumni dot AHL rosters during the course of the campaign.

Of those who played in five, or more, contests in their time in the CJHL, 78 of them have appeared on AHL line-ups throughout this season.

Among that group is 2019-20 CJHL Top Rookie, Top Goaltender and Most Valuable Player awards recipient, Devon Levi (Carleton Place Canadians/CCHL).

Appearing in a combined 31 regular season and playoff games with the Rochester Americans, the AHL affiliate of the Buffalo Sabres, Levi sported a record of 18-9-4 with a respectable 2.45 goals-against average and boasted a solid save percentage of .927.

Levi also had a current 2024 AHL playoff-high 60 stops in a hard-fought 2-1 double overtime playoff setback, on the road, versus the Syracuse Crunch back on May 2.

Also of note, you had at least one CJHL alumnus appear on 30 of the 32 AHL squads during the season, while a dozen of them are still among the five teams that remain in contention for the Calder Cup.
