Over the November 26th – 28th weekend, the Soo U14 Greyhounds took to the road to take part in the 2021 Whitby International Silver Sticks that included 19 teams in the U14 division.

The Greyhounds finished the round robin in group two with a win and three ties to finish second in their division on Saturday evening. With the 4 – 4 tie to open the 2021 International Silver Sticks, the U14’s broke a 19 game win streak of the number one ranked Vaughan Kings. After a 4 – 1 win in the quarter finals Sunday morning at 8:45 a.m over the Oakville Rangers. With the Greyhounds win the U14’s advanced to the semi final at 1:00 p.m on the final day of the International Silver Stick. In a hard fought game, the Greyhounds lost 5 – 0 to the Toronto Malboros.

The Greyhounds finished the weekend with 15 goals for and 8 against in Whitby. Heading into this weekend at the Whitby International Silver Sticks, the U14 Greyhounds were ranked 11th in the province.  New rankings to be released on December 1st.

The Greyhounds now head to Hamilton over the December 3rd to 5th weekend to take part in the Jr Bulldog Classic.
