Over the Thursday, April 14th to Saturday, April 16th weekend in Hamilton, Ontario, the Sault U12 Ice Hawks took part in the 2022 U12A Southern and Central Regional Championship that also included the Cambridge Turbos, Timmins Tornadoes, and Oshawa Storm.
U12 coach Steve Marcellus told Saultsports that “after two seasons of pandemic shutdown to travel competition, the team successfully went 4-0 against some great competitors, taking home a first place finish. Thanks to great team determination, defense goaltending, a gold medal has been brought home to the north.”
