On November 24th, the junior and senior Sault Ste Marie High School Boys Basketball 2021 – 2022 season opened with the Korah Colts hosted the Superior Heights Steelhawks while the White Pines Wolverines headed to St Mary’s College to meet the St Mary’s Knights.

Superior Heights coach Ryan Lillington told Saultsports that “it was game one for both teams and it showed. Neither team will remember this come February…but it was nice to get the win regardless. The boys were happy to be playing ball again and they were excited to play another colour tonight. Our staff was happy with their effort on both sides of the floor.”

Week two of high school basketball will take place on Wednesday, December 1st with St. Mary’s meeting the Steelhawks at Superior Heights while the Korah Colts head east to take on the Wolverines at White Pines. Game times will be 5:30 p.m (Jr) and 7:30 p.m (Sr).
