The Korah Colts delivered an overwhelming performance on Monday evening, blanking the White Pines Wolverines 8-0 in Sault Ste. Marie High School Hockey League action at the John Rhodes Centre on Monday, January 13th. Coming off an overtime victory the previous day, the Colts showed no signs of fatigue, dominating the game from start to finish.
Preston Miller opened the scoring in the first period with his eighth goal of the season, putting Korah ahead 1-0. Deago Campagna followed with his 11th of the season to make it 2-0, and Tyler Lang extended the lead to 3-0 with his 12th goal of the campaign. Lang struck again to make it 4-0, and Koen Manchulenko joined the action, netting his 12th of the season for a commanding 5-0 advantage.
The Colts kept their foot on the gas in the second period. Tucker Deschamps tallied his sixth goal of the season to bring the lead to 6-0, and Lang completed his second hat trick of the season, adding Korah’s seventh goal to close out the frame.
Manchulenko capped off the scoring in the third period with his second goal of the game and third point, sealing the 8-0 win. Korah goaltender Kylan Roy was stellar in net, earning his third shutout of the season with a flawless performance.
The Colts’ offensive firepower, led by Lang’s hat trick and multi-point games from Manchulenko and Miller, overwhelmed the Wolverines. Thomas Bouchard, White Pines’ netminder, faced relentless pressure throughout the game.
