U15 Greyhound Girls Win Gold at the 41st Toronto Leaside Wildcats March Break Madness

Over the March 11 – 13 weekend, the U15 Greyhound Girls won the 41st Annual Toronto Leaside Wildcats March Break Madness Tournament. The girls went a perfect 6-0 topped off by thrilling overtime victories in the semifinals and finals of the tournament. This marks the second tournament gold medal for the Jr. Hounds in the past month.

Coach Carl Rumiel told Saultsports that Overall the weekend was a display of how mentally tough these girls have become. They maintained intensity throughout a very long weekend finding ways to finish off games and hold on to leads. Staff are very proud of the team!”

Next action for the locals is a pair of games April 2nd at the Blind River Arena against the U15A Sudbury Lady Wolves followed by the Ontario Women’s Hockey Association Provincial Championship Tournament in Toronto the following weekend.
