U15 AA Soo Greyhounds to Represent Northern Ontario at the 2026 OHF Championships

The U15AA Soo Jr. Greyhounds are heading to the provincial stage after an outstanding performance at the NOHA Tournament of Champions, where they captured the title and earned their spot at the Ontario Hockey Federation Championships in Vaughan, Ontario.

Taking place April 17–19, the tournament will showcase five of the top U15AA teams in the province—each a champion from their respective leagues. The Greyhounds will face elite competition, including the Clarington Toros, Greater Toronto Capitals, London Jr. Knights, and the host Vaughan Rangers.

The Soo opens tournament play on April 17 with a challenging doubleheader—taking on Clarington first, followed by the Greater Toronto Capitals later that day. Action continues April 18 against the London Jr. Knights, before wrapping up round-robin play versus the host Vaughan Rangers. The semifinals and championship game are scheduled for April 19.

With top-tier talent converging in Vaughan, the stage is set for a high-caliber and exciting weekend of hockey.

Our players come from two countries, yet stand united as one—breaking barriers and representing the true spirit of the game. We are honoured and excited to take part in this experience and compete alongside the best in Vaughan.”

Team Roster includes Owen Webb, Jackson Marchand, Carson Mick, Kipton Fera, Luke Thorburn, James Stevens, Ashlyn Rickard, Kyle Wallenius, Riely Deplonty, Cole Braido, Matais Wellwood-Pulkkinen, Mason McKechnie, Cohen Kellar, Ethan Myers, Jakob Mullin, Lucas Martin, and Teri Mayer.

Staff includes head coach Ed Mick, assistant coaches Chris Kellar, Mark Mullin, assistant coach/trainer Jason Webb, trainer Chris Myers,
Manager Ken Deplonty, and assistant Manager Lindsay Fera.

The Greyhounds now look to make their mark on the provincial stage, proudly representing Northern Ontario with determination and unity.
