Soo U18 AAA Greyhounds Escasa and Boissoneau Among 2025/26 GNU18HL Recipients

The GNU18HL has officially announced its 2025–2026 award winners, and the Soo Greyhounds are well represented thanks to standout performances from forward Espen Escasa and defenseman Dreyon Boissoneau. Escasa delivered a dominant offensive season, earning the league’s Scoring Champion title while consistently driving play and producing at an elite level. His ability to generate offense in key moments made him one of the most dangerous players in the league all year long.

In addition to leading the league in scoring, Escasa was recognized as the GNU18HL’s Most Valuable Player and Top Forward, capping off a remarkable campaign. His combination of skill, vision, and consistency set him apart, making him a cornerstone for the Greyhounds throughout the season. These achievements were further highlighted by his selection to the league’s All-Star Team, solidifying his status as one of the premier players in the league.

On the back end, Dreyon Boissoneau anchored the Greyhounds’ defense with poise and reliability, earning the league’s Top Defenseman award. Known for his strong two-way play, Boissoneau excelled at shutting down opposing threats while contributing offensively when needed. His outstanding season also earned him a spot on the All-Star Team, rounding out an impressive showing for the Greyhounds in this year’s GNU18HL awards.
