With only three weeks remaining before kickoff, anticipation is building as the Superior Heights Steelhawks prepare to return to the gridiron for the 2025 Junior High School Football season in Sault Ste. Marie. The Steelhawks will open their campaign at home on the turf at Superior Heights, carrying momentum and experience into the upcoming season.

The junior program is poised for a competitive year with 15 to 20 returning players who bring valuable experience and leadership. The program also proudly graduates fifteen players to the Steelhawks’ senior team, highlighting the continued success and development within the school’s football pipeline.

The 2025 Steelhawks roster features a promising mix of talent across the board. On defense, key returnees include linemen Thomas Reilly, Alex Onishenko, Jaxon Belair, and Damon Sharpe, who are expected to anchor the line with size and strength. Simon McLean will lead the linebacker corps, bringing grit and intensity to the heart of the defense.
