White Pines coach Will Basawa told Saultsports that “First and Foremost a tremendous display by Superior Heights. It’s so good to see a competitive junior loop, extracurriculars help create such good citizens for our city. We lacked mental and physical toughness today, it’s something that comes with time. We don’t have alot of guys with a ton of football experience, so it is a life lesson that we had to learn the hard way unfortunately. On to next week.”

“Good effort on both sides of the ball. We executed plays well and played solid defense. Need to get everyone healthy and keep working on getting better at practice. It’ll be a tough match against the St Mary’s Knights next week,” added Superior Heights coach Jared Klooster.
