Game Two – July 25 (11:00 a.m – East York)
Soo 18U City United (0) vs (3) East York 17U
Coach Steve Mazzuca told Saultsports that “It was a sensational weekend for the girls. They played with true heart and showcased the Sault very well. The Central league will be an exceptional challenge for our girls especially since many of them are two some three years younger than the competition. Since this team is a combination of two teams it is the first set of games they played together and were the first two true competition games they played in a year and a half due to COVID. The coaching staff are confident that the girls will shake off the webs, mesh together and succeed. We are exceptionally proud of the girls and are looking forward to our next games on Aug 7 and 8.”
Next action for the Soo 18U City United will be August 7th and 8th against Oshawa Kicks and West Cherry Beach. Game one against the Oshawa Kicks will be at 4:00 p.m kickoff in Oshawa, Ontario on August 7th followed by a 10:00 a.m start in Toronto, Ontario on August 8th against Cherry Beach 17U.
