Korah head coach Marco De Rubeis told Saultsports that “the coaching staff were very content with the performance of each individual player and how the team came together over the past two months, and especially over the past few days. The team suffered significant injuries in the first two games but that did not stop the team from playing their best soccer in the third deciding game. The third game was a must win situation to perhaps the best team in the tournament, and the girls came up short in a 2-1 loss to Holy Trinity of Bradford.”

“This year’s city championship win and NOSSA Championship may have been the school’s first girls’ soccer titles. The coaching staff, comprised of three Korah Collegiate teachers, are extremely proud of the girls’ work ethic. The team would like to thank the support they have received from the Korah Collegiate community, the administration, teachers, families and the students. Our success is not possible without their support. After witnessing the performances by all the soccer teams this year at Korah, and the trip to OFSAA, the soccer coaching staff are excited about next year,” added De Rubeis.
