On Saturday, September 6th, high school football returned to Sault Ste. Marie as eight programs hit the turf at Superior Heights to launch the 2025 junior and senior seasons. The day opened with a Knights vs. Steelhawks junior matchup, followed by the same two schools battling again in senior action. Under cloudy and wet skies, the White Pines Wolverines clashed with the Korah Colts in senior play before the junior Wolverines and Colts closed out the four-game slate.
