At Superior Heights Field, the second place Korah Colts met the third place Superior Heights Steelhawks in the 2023 Sault Ste Marie High School football city semi – final on Friday, October 20th.

63 seconds into the 2023 semi – final, Ethan Carchidi opens the scoring for the Colts with a sixty-seven yard carry to give the Korah a 7 – 0 lead after YTy Koski kicks a convert. With 68 seconds remaining in the first quarter, Carchidi scores his second major of the game with a six yard run to bring the Colts lead to 14 – 0 with Koski adding the second convert. Kaylob Thibodeau increases Korah’s lead to 21 – 0 with a six yard run and Koski finding the uprights for his third straight convert at 7:46 of the second quarter. The Colts take a 27 – 0 lead with two straight field goals with an 22 yard and 14 yard field goals at 4:16 and 1:25 of the second quarter. At 8:31 of the third, Carchidi rushes 11 yards for his third major to increase Korah’s lead to 33 – 0 with Koski notching the convert for the Colts. With a 12 yard field goal, Koski brings the lead to 36 – 0 for the Colts at 3:53 of the third. Kaelen Cuglietta scores the Steelhawks lone touchdown of the game at 4:54 of the final quarter with Daikaden Gauthier adding the convert for Superior Heights.

The Colts take their 36 – 7 win over the Steelhawks in the 2023 senior semi – final into the city championships to face the St Mary’s Knights on Friday, October 27th at 7:30 p.m. Saultsports TV will broadcast the 2023 Sault Ste Marie High School city championship.
