On Monday, September 28th, the Sault Ste. Marie boys high school volleyball season continued with two matchups as the St. Mary’s Knights hosted the Korah Colts, while the Notre Dame Voyageurs faced the White Pines Wolverines.

The Knights came away with a 3-1 victory over the Colts, winning the opening set 25-17 before Korah responded with a 25-15 win in the second. St. Mary’s regained control in the third set with a 25-17 victory and closed out the match with a 25-12 win in the fourth set.

In the other matchup, the Notre Dame Voyageurs earned a straight-set 3-0 victory over the White Pines Wolverines. Notre Dame opened the match with a 25-22 win before taking the second set decisively by a score of 25-8. The Voyageurs completed the sweep with a 25-15 victory in the third set. With Monday’s results in the books, St. Mary’s sits atop the standings with four points, while Superior Heights and Notre Dame each have two points. White Pines and Korah remain at zero points.

The Sault Ste. Marie boys high school volleyball schedule continues Wednesday, September 30th, with two more matchups. White Pines will travel to Korah Collegiate to meet the Colts, while the Superior Heights Steelhawks will visit St. Mary’s College to take on the Knights. With the standings beginning to take shape, Wednesday’s games will provide another opportunity for teams to add points and build momentum as the season continues.
