The Soo U15AA Greyhounds wrapped up the 2026 Stoney Creek Sabre U15AA Showcase with a 2-1-2 record over the September 25th to 27th weekend in Stoney Creek, Ontario. With eleven first year players on the roster, the Greyhounds faced a challenging five-game schedule while competing against 63 other girls hockey programs from Illinois, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Texas, Colorado, New Jersey, California, and communities from across Ontario.
The Greyhounds opened the showcase on September 25th with a strong 4-2 victory over Dallas Stars Elite 14U in their opening game. Later that afternoon, Soo returned to the ice against the Whitby Wolves, earning another 4-2 victory to finish the first day with a perfect 2-0 record.
On September 26th, the Greyhounds faced the Polar Bears 14U in their first game of the day, falling 1-0 in a tightly contested matchup. Soo bounced back later that afternoon against the Saugeen-Maitland Lightning, battling to a 1-1 draw. The showcase concluded Sunday morning, September 27th, with the Greyhounds facing Pittsburgh Pens Elite 14U. Pittsburgh came away with a 3-1 victory, giving Soo a final showcase record of two wins, one loss and two ties.
Next up for the Greyhounds will be league action on the October 17th and 18th weekend in Toronto. Soo will face the Brampton Canadettes, Central York Panthers, Etobicoke Dolphins, and North Halton Twisters as they continue their 2026-27 season.
