Even though Black Sox 18U gave up five runs in the fifth inning, they still defeated Rudyard Bulldogs Varsity 13-9 on Tuesday, August 2nd. Rudyard Bulldogs Varsity batters contributing to the big inning included Brett Mayer, Trevor Lamma, and Dylan Mcmillan, all knocking in runs in the inning.

Both offenses were strong at the plate as Black Sox 18U collected nine hits and Rudyard Bulldogs Varsity five in the high-scoring affair

Black Sox 18U got things moving in the first inning, when Ty Beaupre doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs.
Cole Masse got the win for Black Sox 18U. Masse lasted two innings, allowing zero hits and one run while striking out two and walking one. Nolan Toni, Michael Hapanovich, and Wesley Pomeroy all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.

Jesse Zeeryp took the loss for Rudyard Bulldogs Varsity. The pitcher allowed one hit and one run over two and a third innings, striking out two and walking zero.

Lamma started the game for Rudyard Bulldogs Varsity. The hurler went four and two-thirds innings, allowing 12 runs on eight hits and striking out four

Masse went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Black Sox 18U in hits.
