On Wednesday, May 25 and Thursday, May 26 in the 2022 Northern Ontario Secondary School Athletic Championships in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario under cloudy and wet skies 350+ student athletes competed in track and field events for a chance to qualify for the 2022 Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations’ Track and Field Championships in Toronto, Ontario from June 2 – 4 at the York University Track and Field Centre.
St Mary’s College Knights led all Algoma student athletes in all three combined scores divisions in Sault Ste Marie ranking second in all three division. Combined Team Scores (393), Female Team Scores (222), and Male Team Scores (171). Lo-Ellen Park Secondary School finished atop of all three divisions at the 2022 NOSSA Track and Field Championships with Combined Team Scores (594), Female Team Scores (246), and Male Team Scores (348).
