As we head into week five of the 2024 Ontario Summer Football League (OSFL), anticipation and excitement fill the air. The season has already showcased thrilling matchups and surprising upsets, setting the stage for another round of intense competition when the third place (3-1) Sault 18 Sabercats hit the road to head east to face the seventh place (1-3) Sudbury Spartans in a 1:00 p.m east division ‘AA’ kickoff.
Fans eagerly await this key clash between long standing Northern Ontario rivals, such as the anticipated showdown. Players are gearing up to display their skills on the turf at James Jerome Sports Complex, with quarterbacks poised to lead their offenses and defenses tightening up strategies for critical stops.
Coach Antonello has been refining game plans this past week in practice, seeking that winning edge that could define their season. Week OSFL five promises to be a spectacle of athleticism, strategy, and the timeless spirit of high school football.
The third place (3-2) Sault U16 Sabercats will have their bye week on June 22nd before hosting third place (4-1) Quinte Skyhawks at Superior Heights in a east division ‘AA’ 1:00 p.m contest on Saturday, June 29th. Game will be on Saultsports TV and TruHous Sports Radio if you can not make it to Superior Heights on the 29th of June.
