Soo U18 Greyhound coach Jamie Henderson told Saultsports that “unfortunately we got off to a rough start yesterday morning we just weren’t ready to go. We came in early and had a great practice Thursday down here, but unfortunately we didn’t come out with the effort we needed in game one. We were much better in game two and up 3-1 before some penalties helped Barrie get back in the game and we just couldn’t find a response. Today we had our best efforts against two of the top three teams in Ontario which is positive we saw how we need to play against these top teams to have a chance.”

It’s a disappointing week we have much higher standards for this program but with a young group with ten 2006’s playing U18 hockey it’s a process and the team showed a lot of character today not giving an inch, so we’ll take that confidence back to practice and get ready for North Bay next weekend,” added Henderson.

The Greyhounds now head to North Bay on December 18th and 19th to face the North Bay U16 Trappers in Great North Midget League action. Game times will be 7:00 p.m (Saturday) and 1:30 p.m (Sunday).
