TruHous Media (Saultsports TV) is thrilled to announce a partnership with Rogers TV local channel for Algoma, Wawa, and White River. Saultsports TV will be broadcasting high school and university sports on Rogers tv community channel starting February 4th 2024

TruHous Media will deliver top broadcasts of high school and university sports via cable, over-the-air, and streaming. Saultsports TV got their start broadcasting high school sports within high school sports in Sault Ste Marie. Owners Jay Houslander and Kerilyn Trudel Houslander are eager to expand their broadcasts to a TV audience (February 4th). “It’s impressive what our crew achieves. From aerial coverage, to different angles of instant replay, to live graphics. We are very excited to show the Algoma region what TruHous Media will bring to local sports coverage” said TruHous Media producer/owner, Jay Houslander.

Rogers tv aims to bring viewers closer to their neighbourhoods, promoting a sense of connection and pride. Station Manager, Sarah Love shares, “we are thrilled to announce our partnership with SaultSports TV, where we will be broadcasting high school sports games on our community channel. This collaboration will highlight the exceptional skills of young athletes in our community and showcase our commitment to promoting local sports and encouraging community engagement.” All Rogers basic tv subscribers will get the benefit of tuning into these games on cable channel 10 or on Ignite channel 105 starting February 4 at 2:00 p.m.

The voices of Saultsports TV have a diverse background encompassing various roles such as sports announcing and coaching in Algoma. In 2023, TruHous Media was honoured with the opportunity to stream all of Algoma OUA Thunderbird home soccer and basketball games along with the 2023 U15 Ontario Hockey Federation Provincial Championships as well as the 2020 Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations’ Wrestling Championships and the upcoming 2024 Ontario University Athletics Wrestling Championships in February.

Jay Houslander’s multidisciplinary background encompasses the collaboration of overseeing all advertising, promotion and logistics associated with the streams that we produce yearly.
