The Sault Minor Baseball Association hosted their 2026 13U Mid-Season Tournament from July 3–5 in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario. This exciting weekend welcomed talented 13U teams from across the city for three days of competitive baseball, sportsmanship, and community spirit. Players, coaches, families, and fans were treated to outstanding competition. Whether you’re competing on the diamond or cheering from the stands, the tournament was a memorable experience filled with great baseball, lasting friendships, and unforgettable summer memories.
Game 1 – Lil Cub Catering (14) vs (15) Total Quality Plumbing
In a back-and-forth game, both Total Quality Plumbing and Lil Cub Catering exchanged runs early and often, using aggressive base running and timely hits to keep the score tight. Lil Cub Catering put together several strong offensive innings with steady line drives and smart movement on the bases, while Total Quality Plumbing answered with consistent hitting and situational offence to stay within striking distance. Game 6 – Ready Shedy (13) vs (14) Vallee Ground Works

Game 7 – Stellar Heating and Cooling (11) vs (10) Vallee Ground Works
Stellar Heating & Cooling and Vallee Ground Works were locked in a tight contest that swung back and forth on nearly every inning, with both sides constantly turning baserunners into runs through steals, walks, and timely contact. Vallee built offense in clusters late, stacking extra-base hits and forcing defensive miscues to edge ahead. Stellar responded with its own rallies, staying within reach through patient at-bats and opportunistic scoring. In the closing frames, Stellar’s ability to convert traffic on the bases into runs proved the difference, allowing them to secure a narrow win in a fast-moving, high-scoring game.
Championship game – Just as the crowd was getting ready to watch the final game, then head home, the players had other plans. They weren’t done yet, and said “not a chance!” turning what was supposed to be the final game into an unexpected double header and kept the energy going right to the end!
Game 8 – Total Quality Plumbing (7) vs (8) Stellar Heating & Cooling
Total Quality Plumbing and Stellar Heating & Cooling finished the game after a nonstop exchange of runs and lead changes. Both teams consistently turned walks, steals, and well-timed contact at the plate into quick scoring bursts. Stellar answered every push from Total Quality Plumbing with its own rallies, keeping the pressure on through each inning. Neither side could create separation in the late stages leading to a high-scoring finish defined by constant action.
Game 9 – Total Quality Plumbing (14) vs (18) Stellar Heating and Cooling
In a high-energy championship battle, Stellar Heating & Cooling came out on top over Total Quality Plumbing in a game driven by constant pressure on the bases and steady timely hitting from both sides. The offense on each team repeatedly turned small openings into runs, with momentum shifting several times as neither defence could fully settle. Stellar answered every push from Total Quality Plumbing with key hits in crucial moments and continued execution under pressure. In the end, Stellar Heating & Cooling closed out the game to secure the championship win.
