The Sault Minor Baseball Association hosted their 2026 13U Mid-Season Tournament from July 3–5 in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario. This exciting weekend welcomed talented 13U teams from across the city for three days of competitive baseball, sportsmanship, and community spirit. Players, coaches, families, and fans were treated to outstanding competition. Whether you’re competing on the diamond or cheering from the stands, the tournament was a memorable experience filled with great baseball, lasting friendships, and unforgettable summer memories.

Game 1 – Lil Cub Catering (14) vs (15) Total Quality Plumbing  
In a back-and-forth game, both Total Quality Plumbing and Lil Cub Catering exchanged runs early and often, using aggressive base running and timely hits to keep the score tight. Lil Cub Catering put together several strong offensive innings with steady line drives and smart movement on the bases, while Total Quality Plumbing answered with consistent hitting and situational offence to stay within striking distance. Neither team was able to pull away as momentum shifted multiple times throughout the game. In the end, it was a well-played, high-energy matchup that featured strong effort from both sides and plenty of offensive action from start to finish.

Game 2 – Vallee Ground Works (9) vs (10) Stellar Heating and Cooling 
In a fast-paced, high-scoring matchup, Stellar Heating & Cooling and Vallee Ground Works traded momentum all game long with constant pressure on the basepaths. Both teams generated offence through steady hitting, walks, and aggressive steals that led to multiple runs scoring in bunches across several innings. Stellar Heating & Cooling answered repeatedly to stay in the game, while Vallee Ground Works used consistent traffic on the bases and timely contact to build key advantages. The game stayed competitive through the final innings, with neither side backing down in a back-and-forth battle filled with energy, movement, and non-stop action from start to finish.

Saturday Morning the action continued

Game 3 – Ready Shedy (8) vs (11) Total Quality Plumbing 
This matchup between Total Quality Plumbing and Ready Shedy was a back-and-forth game shaped by aggressive baserunning, timely hits, and constant pressure on both sides. Total Quality Plumbing got on the board early and consistently generated offence through a mix of singles, doubles, and smart base running, including several runs scored on steals and heads-up plays. Ready Shedy responded throughout the game with their own strong offensive innings, stringing together hits and capitalizing on opportunities to keep the score close. Neither team was able to fully pull away as momentum shifted repeatedly, with both defences facing sustained pressure and both lineups finding ways to manufacture runs. Game 4 – Lil Cub Catering (8) vs (10) Vallee Ground Works 
This matchup between Lil Cub Catering and Vallee Ground Works was a high-energy game defined by constant pressure on the bases from both teams. Lil Cub Catering used patience at the plate and frequent walks to keep innings alive, while also finding runs through timely contact and taking advantage of defensive mistakes. Vallee Ground Works responded throughout the game with their own steady offence, stringing together hits and using speed on the bases to manufacture runs and keep the score tight. Neither team was able to pull away for long, as momentum swung repeatedly with each side answering the other’s scoring chances. Game 5 – Total Quality Plumbing (17) vs (16) Stellar Heating and Cooling 
In this tight matchup Stellar Heating & Cooling stayed aggressive on the basepaths, with multiple steals turning into runs, including a key stolen home. Ready Shedy answered with pressure of their own, getting runners on through walks and a hit-by-pitch, then cashing in on an error and timely contact to keep things close. The game featured constant movement, with both teams trading runs in a back-and-forth game that kept the score tight right until the very end.

Game 6 – Ready Shedy (13) vs (14) Vallee Ground Works 
Vallee Ground Works and Ready Shedy played a back-and-forth matchup that turned into a high-scoring, momentum-heavy battle defined by aggressive baserunning and constant pressure. Both teams consistently turned walks, hits, and defensive miscues into runs, with stolen bases and wild pitches playing a major role in nearly every inning. Vallee Ground Works used timely extra-base hits and steady contact to build key scoring bursts, while Ready Shedy repeatedly answered with their own rallies to keep the game tight. Neither side was able to pull away for long. In the end, it was a game driven by relentless offense, chaotic base running, and nonstop action from start to finish.

Game 7 – Stellar Heating and Cooling (11) vs (10)  Vallee Ground Works 
Stellar Heating & Cooling and Vallee Ground Works were locked in a tight contest that swung back and forth on nearly every inning, with both sides constantly turning baserunners into runs through steals, walks, and timely contact. Vallee built offense in clusters late, stacking extra-base hits and forcing defensive miscues to edge ahead. Stellar responded with its own rallies, staying within reach through patient at-bats and opportunistic scoring. In the closing frames, Stellar’s ability to convert traffic on the bases into runs proved the difference, allowing them to secure a narrow win in a fast-moving, high-scoring game.

Championship game – Just as the crowd was getting ready to watch the final game, then head home, the players had other plans. They weren’t done yet, and said “not a chance!” turning what was supposed to be the final game into an unexpected double header and kept the energy going right to the end!

Game 8 – Total Quality Plumbing (7) vs (8) Stellar Heating & Cooling  
Total Quality Plumbing and Stellar Heating & Cooling finished the game after a nonstop exchange of runs and lead changes. Both teams consistently turned walks, steals, and well-timed contact at the plate into quick scoring bursts. Stellar answered every push from Total Quality Plumbing with its own rallies, keeping the pressure on through each inning. Neither side could create separation in the late stages leading to a high-scoring finish defined by constant action.

Game 9 – Total Quality Plumbing (14) vs (18) Stellar Heating and Cooling  
In a high-energy championship battle, Stellar Heating & Cooling came out on top over Total Quality Plumbing in a game driven by constant pressure on the bases and steady timely hitting from both sides. The offense on each team repeatedly turned small openings into runs, with momentum shifting several times as neither defence could fully settle. Stellar answered every push from Total Quality Plumbing with key hits in crucial moments and continued execution under pressure. In the end, Stellar Heating & Cooling closed out the game to secure the championship win.
