The St Mary’s College high school hockey program releases their 2022 – 2023 Sault Ste Marie High School Hockey League roster. The Knights will be looking for their tenth straight Sault Ste Marie High School Hockey League and city championships when they hit the ice in the fall of 2022 guided by coach Frank Medaglia and assistant coaches Chris Miller and Josh Dunn.

Knights coach Frank Medaglia told Saultsports that “we are pretty excited to have something as significant as a tenth straight League and City Championships to play for. It serves as motivation but also as a reminder that it has to be earned….nothing is going to come easy and no one is going to give anything to us based on the past. This year’s team (once again) has a great balance of grade 11, 12 and for the first time in a while, a couple of fifth year players returning for us along with one grade 10 player.”

“The coaching staff is happy to have some tournament play back in the mix to hopefully prepare us for the NOSSA and OfSAA run that is our ultimate goal. When the boys put on that Knights jersey, there has to be the mentality that we play hard, disciplined hockey to get two points for each team win. Individual accolades and player stats can’t be part of the equation….and that’s our job as coaches to instill. If we do our jobs and the players buy in…I like our chances to have a very successful year”, added Medaglia.
