On Saturday, October 19th and 20th, the Soo U16 kicked off their weekend on a high note, securing a thrilling 4-1 victory against the North Bay U16 Trappers in North Bay. Where the team displayed impressive teamwork and skill, capitalizing on key opportunities to dominate the ice and set the tone for the weekend. However, in their second game against the U16 Trappers in Powassan on Sunday afternoon, the Greyhounds faced a tougher challenge losing 5 – 2. Despite their best efforts and a spirited performance, they fell short, unable to overcome the home team’s strong play. The split results left the Greyhounds eager to regroup and refine their strategies as they look ahead to the rest of the 2024 – 2025 GNU18HL season, determined to build on their opening success.

The Soo U16 Greyhounds now make a one game for trip for a midweek matchup against the Sudbury U18 Wolves at Gerry McCrory Countryside with a 7:45 p.m puck drop.
