After a 8-0 win at home over the Sudbury Impact on August 7 at Tom Tipton Field, the Soo U14 City United took to the field in Sudbury over the August 14 and 15 weekend against the Impact.

In game one of the weekend on Saturday, Sophie Fata sank three goals apiece while Tru Toms scored two in the 10-1 win over the Impact. Other goals came from Amy Clement, Bryce Gagnon, Kyla Viotto, Mattea Bruni and Abigail Jaremko in the win. On Sunday morning, the Soo City United continued the winning streak with a 3-0 shutout with Fata, Toms, and Ava Barone registering the goals.

Coach Joe Valente told Saultsports that “the girls played great from start right to the final whistle have to give credit to out defense and goalie Sophie Lamour allowing only one goal in three games.”

The Soo City United U14 next game will be Sunday, August 22 with a 11:00 a.m start at Tom Tipton in Sault Ste Marie.
