After a 2-1-1 weekend in southern Ontario over the August 7 and 8 weekend with matchups against the Cambridge Cubs and Milton Mets, the Soo 18U Black Sox returned home to host the Valley East Jr Voyageurs in 18U action at Sinclair Yards for a double header on Wednesday, August 18 for afternoon matinees.

Game Two (3:00 p.m)
Valley East Jr Voyageurs (4) vs (1) Soo Black Sox

Coach Mike Lebel told Saultsports that “overall the coaching staff was very pleased with the effort put forward by the players today. Going forward to next week’s return visit to Sudbury we are looking forward to two more evenly contested games between two good teams. Our focus is to reduce the number of errors defensively which will come for this young team.”

The (2-2-2) Black Sox will now hit the road for a double header on Wednesday, August 25 with game times of 12:00 p.m and 3:00 p.m against the Voyageurs in Sudbury.
