Soo U13 Greyhounds Go Undefeated to Capture the 2025 Pink in the Rink Championship

The Soo U13 Greyhounds joined eleven other top U13 programs from across Ontario at the 2025 Pink in the Rink Tournament, hosted by the Etobicoke Dolphins from October 17th to 19th in Etobicoke, Ontario. By the end of the weekend, the Greyhounds stood tall as tournament champions, capping off a perfect run with an impressive shutout victory in the championship final.

The Hounds opened round-robin play Friday morning with a hard-fought 2-2 draw against the Nepean Wildcats. Later that evening, they bounced back in dominant fashion, blanking the Mississauga Hurricanes 3-0 to secure their first win of the weekend.

On Saturday afternoon, the Greyhounds carried their momentum into their third round-robin game, defeating the Brampton Canadettes 4-0 to finish pool play undefeated and advance to the quarter-finals.

In the afternoon quarter-final matchup, the Soo once again met the Nepean Wildcats—this time emerging victorious with a 2-1 win in another close battle. The win propelled the Greyhounds into Sunday’s semi-final, where they delivered a strong all-around performance to defeat the Waterloo Ravens 3-1 and book their spot in the championship game.

In the tournament final, the U13 Greyhounds saved their best for last, shutting out the North Bay Junior Lakers 4-0 to capture the Pink in the Rink championship title.

Over the weekend, the Soo went undefeated with a 5-0-1 record, outscoring their opponents 18-4. The team’s balanced offense, disciplined defensive play, and outstanding goaltending were key in securing the championship and showcasing the strength of the program on the provincial stage.
