Soo U11 Greyhounds Capture Pink in the Rink Championship in Etobicoke

Over the weekend of October 17th to 19th, the U11 Soo Greyhounds travelled south to Etobicoke, Ontario, where they competed in the 2025 Pink in the Rink Tournament—emerging as tournament champions after a flawless run through five games.

The Greyhounds opened the weekend on Friday morning with a dominant 5-0 shutout victory over the Carleton Place Cyclones, setting the tone for the rest of the tournament. Later that afternoon, the team continued their strong play, defeating the host Etobicoke Dolphins 5-2 to close out day one with a perfect record.

Early Saturday morning, the Hounds battled the Oakville Hornets, securing a 3-1 win to remain unbeaten and clinch a spot in the quarter-finals.

In Sunday morning’s semi-final, the Soo offense came alive, powering past the North Bay Junior Lakers 7-3 to earn a berth in the championship game. The momentum carried straight into the final, where the Greyhounds capped off their impressive weekend with another commanding 7-2 victory over the Bluewater Hawks to claim the Pink in the Rink title.

The U11 Greyhounds displayed exceptional teamwork, depth, and determination throughout the tournament, outscoring opponents 23-8 across all six games.

Next action for the Soo U11 Greyhounds will take them south of the border, as they head to Michigan to face the Midland Hornets in back-to-back games on Saturday, November 1st.
