The Ontario Hockey League (OHL) has unveiled its complete 2026-27 regular season schedule, featuring a 684-game slate that will see all 20 member clubs play 68 games. The new season gets underway on Thursday, September 17, and runs through Sunday, March 21, 2027, before attention shifts to the OHL Playoffs and the pursuit of the J. Ross Robertson Cup.
For the Soo Greyhounds, the 2026-27 campaign begins with a pair of home games at Memorial Gardens. The Greyhounds will open the season on Friday, September 18, when they welcome the Saginaw Spirit to town, before hosting the Sarnia Sting the following night on Saturday, September 19.
The upcoming OHL schedule also features nine school-day games across the league, providing thousands of students with the opportunity to experience live OHL action as part of a school outing. The Greyhounds will take part in one of those contests when they travel to Sudbury to face the Wolves in a special 10:30 a.m. weekday puck drop.
The road through the 2026-27 season ultimately leads to the 2027 Memorial Cup, which will be hosted by the Guelph Storm beginning on May 20, 2027. The national championship tournament will coincide with the City of Guelph’s bicentennial celebrations, creating a fitting backdrop for one of junior hockey’s premier events.
