Coming off a 3 – 1 weekend a week early over the Sudbury Shamrocks in Sault Ste Marie at Sinclair Yards, the 9U Soo Black Sox hit the diamond for a four game weekend on July 17th and 18th against the visiting Valley East Voyageurs.

“The kids played well all weekend. Valley East had a few heavy hitters and we were able to limit the damage for the first three games. In the final game of the weekend they broke out and we couldn’t match their run production. Valley scored six runs in the fourth with back to back homers and we couldn’t recover. Another 3 and 1 record for the weekend is a success. We’re looking forward to travelling to Sudbury next weekend to play a four game at against the Shamrocks,” added coach Steve McLeod.

The 9U Black Sox will now head to Sudbury over July 24th and 25th weekend face the Sudbury Shamrocks in a four game weekend series with game one and two on Saturday with opening pitch at 1:00 p.m and 4:00 p.m followed by game three and four on Sunday with game times of 10:30 a.m and 12:30 p.m.
