The Algoma Thunderbird Athletic program and TruHous Media (Saultsports.com), the innovator for live digital sport and original content, have announced a multi-year partnership making TruHous Media the exclusive streaming destination for all live and on-demand Algoma Thunderbird events.
The agreement brings nearly forty Algoma Thunderbird games to TruHous Media, including all regular season and post season games on OUA YARETV. Algoma Thunderbird fans who own free subscriptions will be able to access additional content from the OUA TV as well. TruHous Media has become the No. 1 destination for youth, high school, collegiate sports with more than 100 games to be broadcasted in 2021 – 2022.
Featuring live streaming of premier events, original video programming and weekly studio shows, TruHous Media is a leading provider in northern Ontario, including partnerships with the Sault Major Hockey Association, Sault Ste Marie High Schools and Algoma University.

For our Algoma Thunderbirds women’s and men’s basketball, we will offer a sideline pregame coverage prior to tipoff with the Algoma Thunderbird Pregame Show.
Starting in August 2021, TruHous Media will also exclusively have all Thunderbird play by play on Saultsports Radio. Friends, family, and fans of the Thunderbirds can now listen live TruHous Media. As part of the deal, TruHous Media will serve as the flagship home for the Thunderbirds in soccer and basketball on our new Saultsports Radio platform.

Algoma University is proud to be home of the Algoma Thunderbirds. Our Student-Athletes participate in the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) and U Sports conferences, giving them the opportunity to compete in the highest level of intercollegiate sport in Canada. We compete in the sports of basketball, curling, cross-country running, Nordic skiing, wrestling, and soccer. While we are still a relatively young program, our student-athletes have had endless success, including OUA and U Sports Silver Championship medals.
