In these uncertain times without an Ontario Hockey League season for 20 year old Sault Ste Marie, Ontario native Keegan Stevenson of the Guelph Storm committed to the USport Acadia Axemen of the Atlantic University Sport in Wolfville, Nova Scotia.
In 2016 – 2017, the 6’1 and 175lbs forward played for the Northern Ontario Hockey League’s Soo Thunderbirds. As a 16 year old in the NOJHL, Stevenson scored 12 goals and had 23 assists in 54 regular season games while adding four goals and four contributors in four post season contests in Sault Ste Marie.
In 2016, the Sault Ste Marie native was selected 102nd overall in the sixth round of the 2016 OHL Priority Draft by the Guelph Storm. In 179 regular season games from 2017 – 2020 in Guelph with the Storm, Keegan scored 45 goals and contributed on 42 for the Storm. In 29 post season matchup in a Storm jersey, Stevenson sank four goals and added four more assists to his OHL totals. In the spring of 2019 in Halifax, Stevenson hoisted the Memorial Cup with the Storm in the national championship. In Febuary 2021, Stevenson was called up the American Hockey League Toronto Marlies for one regular season game.
