My personal goal for the upcoming 2026 OSFL season is to earn a starting position at Defensive End for the JV Sabercats. The team goal for the 2026 OSFL season is to bring home the championship to the city of Sault Ste. Marie.

What are you most looking forward to playing this season for the Sabercats?
I am most looking forward to playing under a great coaching staff, especially coach Jim Monico , since he was my dad’s head coach for St. Basil’s in the 90’s. Also, I am looking forward to playing with some of the best on field leaders from junior football.

For anyone that is not familiar with your play style, how would you describe yourself as a player?
I am a very coachable player and pride myself on being a good teammate. I play smart, strong and fast with a high motor. I never give up on a play until I hear the whistle.

Who is your biggest football role model? Could be a coach, teammate?
My biggest football role models on the field have to be coach Boniferro and coach Biagini. Off the field, my dad pushes me daily, not only to be a better football player but to be a better young man in general.

How do you stay motivated and focused during a game or practice?
I stay motivated and focused during a game because I want to do my job and make plays to help my team win. In practice, I want to learn from my coaches and teammates and want to win every rep.

What do you think makes a great leader on the football field?
A great leader on the football field works hard and leads by example. A great leader also encourages and compliments his teammates when they make a good play but holds them accountable if they are not doing their job.

What is your greatest accomplishment as a football player?
The year 2025 was a great football year for me. I won the SMFL championship and league MVP. Even better, I earned a starting role on the defensive line for the St. Mary’s Junior Knights where we won the city and NOSSA championships.

Presently, I am in southern Ontario for Redblack weekend which is phase 3 of the team Ontario program. It is an honour to be recognized as one of the top 8 Defensive Ends in the province.

What makes you the best candidate for this position that the coaches have asked you to play?
I am the best candidate to play the position that the coaches have asked me to play because I have good size, speed and power off the end. I am a team player and will do anything that I can to help this team win.

What do you think is the most important aspect of being a member of a team?
The most important aspect of a team is always putting the team first. Team success and winning is more important than your individual success. Also knowing your role and executing it to help your team in any way possible.

Finally, what do you think is the most important quality for a football player to possess compared to other sports?
The most important quality for a football player to possess is to be relentless. Always play with intensity and determination. Never slow down or give up on a play. Give 100% on every snap and leave it all out on the field. You need to want to dominate your opponent every play.
