Algoma University Varsity Athletics is excited to announced Wednesday, January 4th that another Sault local will be joining the Algoma Thunderbird Women’s Soccer program for the 2023 – 2024 season! Elisha Biasucci attends Korah Collegiate and will be studying Psychology and Sociology at Algoma next Fall.

Biasucci has played with the Sault Civics program and also trained with the Thunderbird Soccer Academy.

Elisha said: “I chose Algoma because it gave me the opportunity to stay in Sault Ste Marie, obtain a degree in Psychology/Sociology and to be part of the soccer program. I am going to bring a positive attitude and a strong work ethic to the team.” .

Head Coach, Neil Ovey stated, “We have known Elisha for many years and this is a natural progression for the program and the player. She will bring a good attitude and a desire to work. Elisha is hard working and can play multiple positions and is a true utility player. We are delighted she has chosen to stay and be part of what we are building. Elisha will be a great asset.”
