In Stratford, Ontario four figure skaters from the Lake Superior Figure Skating Club (LSFSC) Addyson Atkinson, Elena Nelson, Leah Johnstone, Yvonne Barnes; and, one honourary LSFSC figure skater, Delaney Schumacher, from the Wawa Figure Skating Club (WFSC) competed at the Skate Ontario Provincial Championships over the March 23 to 26 weekend.

“It’s a competitive journey to qualify for Provincials, a goal that may be considered to be the pinnacle of their skating season. Everyone skated their best and I’m very proud of all our skaters’ accomplishments this weekend”, said Director of Skating, Kerry Bain.

The skaters’ results were as follows:
Addyson Atkinson Star 5 U13 (19th)
Elena Nelson, Star 5 Artistic (17th)
Leah Johnstone Star 9 Artistic (17th)
Delaney Schumacher, Star 9 O14 (16th) and Gold Free Skate (11th)
Yvonne Barnes, PreNovice (7th)
