On Friday, September 23rd, the Superior Heights Steelhawks hit the field for football junior action against the St Mary’s Knights at Superior Heights field in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario.

At 6:44 of the second quarter, Alex Hayes finds Koen Kurylo in the Steelhawks endzone with a 30 yard pass to give the Knights a 6 – 0 lead. Ethan Agawa finds the uprights for the St Mary’s Knights to add to the lead to 7 – 0. Cole Rivet rushes for a Knights 48 yard touchdown carry at 2:55 with Agawa scoring his second convert of the contest to increase the lead to 14 – 0. Albert Perrault pulls Superior Heights with eight for the Steelhawks with 6.5 seconds remaining in the half. Dax Pringle kicked a convert to close the gap to 14 – 7 with the Steelhawks convert. Pringle carries the ball for the Steelhawks second major of the game at 8:44 of the fourth to bring Superior Heights within one of the Knights. The Knights won the Friday contest 15 – 13 with one point with 3:52 left in the game against the Steelhawks.

St Mary’s next opponents will be the White Pines Wolverines on Thursday, September 29th with a 5:45 p.m start while the Steelhawks take on the Korah Colts in a 4:45 p.m kickoff on Friday, September 30th.
