On Thursday, October 7th, the St Mary’s Knights took to the turf to face the White Pines Wolverines in junior Sault Ste Marie High School action at Superior Heights.

At 1:37 of the opening quarter, Knight quarterback Matti Tucker finds Koen Kurylo with a four yard pass in the Wolverine end zone to give St Mary’s a 6 – 0 lead. St Mary’s Nate Carter found the uprights on the Knights convert to increase the lead to 7 – 0. With 66 seconds left in the first half, Tucker rushes for a one yard major for the Knights to bring the lead to 13 – 0. Carter kicked his second successful convert of the contest. With 24.2 remaining in the third quarter, Carter kicks a 16 yard field goal for the Knights to give St Mary’s a 17 – 0 win over the Wolverines.

White Pines will now round out the 2021 high school regular season with a Thursday, October 14 contest against the Superior Heights Steelhawks while the Knights will meet the Korah Colts on Friday, October 15th to close out their regular season. Thursday’s contest kickoffs at 6:00 p.m followed by Friday’s junior matchup at 4:45 p.m.
