Under cloudy skies in Sault Ste Marie on Saturday, June 11th, the (1-0) junior and (0-1) varsity Sabercats took to the field at Superior Heights when they hosted the (1-0) Myers Riders in Ontario Summer Football League action.

The junior Sabercats fell to the visiting Myers Riders 49 – 15 in the regular season opener while the varsity Sabercats dropped to 0 – 2 in their second straight regular season game with a home loss to the Rider.

The Sabercats will take their 1 – 1 record into Peterbourgh to face the Wolverines in junior action on June 18th in a 4:30 p.m kickoff followed by varsity action at 6:30 p.m on the 18th of June in Peterborough with the 0-2 Sabercats meeting the varsity Wolverines.
