Over the November 17th and 18th weekend, the 2023 Northern Ontario Secondary School Athletic (NOSSA) ‘A’ Girls Basketball Junior and Senior Championships took place in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario hosted by the White Pines Wolverines.
In the tight fought senior 2023 Northern Ontario Secondary School Athletic (NOSSA) Girls Basketball ‘A’ Championship game, the Sudbury, Ontario’s l’Horizon Aigles held off the Algonquin Barons of North Bay with a 50 – 45 championship win to hoist the 2023 NOSSA Championship trophy and represent northern Ontario at Belleville on November 23rd to 25th for the 2023 ‘A’ OFSAA Championships. In the junior division, the l’Horizon Aigles outscored the CASS Huskies in a 40 – 28 win to be crowned the 2023 NOSSA ‘A’ champions.
