In keeping with their ongoing support within our local community, I.D.A. Pharmacy/Drug Mart and the Soo Minor Baseball Association would like to announce a joint venture down at Sinclair Yards Baseball Complex.
I.D.A. has committed ($ 36,000.00 or $ 2,400 / year for the next 15 years) to place a new LED Scoreboard on the main diamond down at the complex. The scoreboard will feature two back-lit panels, the top featuring the I.D.A Park name and logo and the bottom back-lit panel featuring the four store locations city wide.
The main diamond, which will now be known as I.D.A. Park, will host Soo Black Sox 18u and 15u games and tournaments as well as Bantam and Senior Men’s House League baseball games.
Also in the fall of 2022, I.D.A. Park will be the official home of the Sault College Cougars Men’s Baseball
Program, which will be competing in the OCAA Men’s Baseball League.
Soo Minor Baseball released this statement: “We are thrilled to partner with I.D.A. and their owners to give a much needed facelift to the main diamond and cannot wait to showcase the scoreboard in the early part of our 2022 baseball season. This is a tremendous opportunity to help bring more attention to our House League, Rep Program and the newly created College Baseball program here in the Soo.”
Locally owned and operated for over 65 years, IDA Drug Mart, now has four pharmacies located in Sault Ste. Marie. Queenstown, Market Mall, Wellington Square and Urban Square beside Pino’s.
The scoreboard is tentatively scheduled to be installed at the complex in late June 2022.
Soo Minor Baseball and I.D.A. will have the official ceremony at the ballpark at this time complete with a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate this amazing partnership.
