The 2025 Sault Ste. Marie High School Football League season marks a period of transition for the St. Mary’s Knights senior football program after finishing second during the 2024 high school season and falling to the Korah Colts in the city championships, this team looks to build on recent years of success with a younger, retooled roster.
While the roster may feature new faces, expectations within the program remain high. Offensively, the Knights will be led by key returning veterans including Liam Dubois, Cole Rivet, Ren Levesque, Hunter Jackson, and Alex Hayes. The team is also anticipating strong contributions from promising newcomers Aaron Juma and Charles McInnis.
On the defensive side, veteran leadership will come from Tyler Cady, Liam Oullette, Marcus Spadafora, and Matteo Palumbo. They will be joined by rising talents such as Wesley Tait and Heath Desjardins, who are expected to step into key roles as the season progresses.
“We are enthusiastic about the upcoming season,” said head coach Jim Monico.
As the new campaign kicks off, the St. Mary’s Knights are determined to blend youthful energy with established leadership as they chase continued success on the gridiron.
