On Friday, December 5th, the third place Korah Colts (5-2) delivered a commanding performance at the John Rhodes Centre, overpowering the fourth place White Pines Wolverines (2-6-0-1) in a Sault Ste. Marie High School Hockey League showdown. From start to finish, the Colts displayed relentless pressure, disciplined structure, and standout individual efforts to secure a convincing victory.

The Colts set the tone early in the first period. At 11:56, Preston Miller opened the scoring with his second of the season, finishing a play set up by Kaidyn Beaird and Ryan Johnson. Less than two minutes later, at 10:23, Tyler Neveau recorded his first of the campaign with assists going to Deago Campagna and Koen Manchulenko. The Colts continued to roll, and at 4:16, Campagna buried his 12th of the season on a setup from Johnson and Jackson Burrows, giving Korah a dominant 3–0 lead after one.

The second period showcased one of the strongest offensive stretches of the Colts’ season. Miller struck again at 14:44 for his third of the year, assisted by Bodie Belair and Campagna. Moments later, at 13:30, Max Battacchio scored a shorthanded marker—his fifth—thanks to great anticipation and support from Martino Coccimiglio. White Pines responded with a powerplay goal at 12:51 as Chase Socchia notched his second of the season, assisted by Owen Sanderson and Nolan Wilding. But the Colts surged right back. Neveau tallied his second of the night at 11:34, followed quickly by Campagna’s 13th at 10:54 and his 14th at 7:51, continuing a remarkable scoring pace. Belair added an unassisted goal at 6:13 before Manchulenko added his 10th of the season with just two seconds left in the frame, sending Korah into the intermission with a commanding lead.

Korah didn’t let up in the third. At 12:10, Campagna capped off his outstanding night with a shorthanded, unassisted tally—his 15th of the season—highlighting his elite form. Johnson added his fifth of the year at 6:40, set up by Neveau and Burrows, before Miller completed his hat trick at 4:59 with assists from Battacchio and Manchulenko.

In net, Will Franic delivered a steady performance for Korah, while the Wolverines split goaltending duties between Ben Belleau and Thomas Bouchard as they battled against the Colts’ overwhelming attack.

With this decisive victory, the Colts continue to build momentum. Korah and White Pines won’t have to wait long for a rematch—the two rivals meet again on Sunday, December 7th at 8:00 p.m. back at the John Rhodes Centre.
