After the Korah Colts and Superior Heights Steelhawks losses to the St Charles Cardinals of Sudbury, Ontario in exhibition play on Thursday, November 23rd in Sault Ste Marie, the (2-0-1) Korah Colts hit the ice to face the (0-3) Superior Heights Steelhawks in Sault Ste Marie High School Hockey League action at the John Rhodes Centre.
At 11:21 of the second period, Cam Hernden fired a slapshot from the left blueline to be tipped by Colton McLean in front of the Colts net to find the back of Korah goaltender Kylan Roy’s net to give the Steelhawks a 1 – 0 lead. Ethan Wooton drew the other assist on McLean’s first of the season. With 1:50 remaining in the game, Preston Miller pushes the tying goal from underneath Superior Heights netminder Tyler Greco’s left pad to pull the Colts even 1 – 1. Deago Campagna notched the lone contributor on Miller’s second of the season. Korah’s goaltender Kylan Roy stopped 21 shots in the 1 – 1 tie while Steelhawk netminder Tyler Greco turned away 31 shots in Superior Heights first point of the season.
The Colts next opponents will be the St Mary’s Knights on November 30th with a game time of 3:30 p.m at the John Rhodes Centre while the Steelhawks meet the Knights on December 3rd with a 6:30 p.m start at the John Rhodes Centre.
