Colts Advance to the 2025 Junior Football City Final with Win Over Steelhawks

In the second Sault Ste. Marie High School Junior Football semi-final on Friday, October 18th, the second-place (5-1) Korah Colts battled the third-place (2-4) Superior Heights Steelhawks under the lights at Superior Heights field.

After a scoreless first half marked by strong defensive stands on both sides, the Colts finally broke through at 2:14 of the third quarter when quarterback Davien Clarke punched in a rushing touchdown to give Korah a 6–0 lead. The Colts extended their advantage late in the fourth when Lucas McMaster hauled in a 21-yard touchdown pass from Clarke at 9:31. Martino Coccimiglio added the convert to make it 13–0.

With 1:41 remaining in regulation, Korah conceded a safety, giving Superior Heights their only points of the night and bringing the final score to 13–2.

The Colts’ victory secures their spot in the 2025 Sault Ste. Marie High School Junior Football City Championship, set for Thursday, October 23rd at 7:30 p.m.
