Big Payday Coming August 4th at Laird Raceway for Modifieds and Factory Stocks

On Thursday, August 4th, Laird Raceway will open the month of August 2022 with two big racing purses for weekly racing with $1,000/$600.00/$500.00/$300.00 for the Modified and Factory Stock divisions who run on the American Racer tire with the green flag dropping at 7:00 p.m.

Who will bring home the checkered flag in the Modified division with Sault Ste Marie’s young gun Dustin Jackson atop of the standings with Goulais’ Jay Palumbo sitting in second with Roddy Bolduc rounding out the top three in the Modified division heading into Thursday, August 4th race?

In the Factory Stock division, Sault Ste Marie’s Daniel Bibeau holds down the number position with a successful 2022 racing season ahead of Desbarats’ Jamie Fox in second and Sault Ste Marie’s Jarrit Varcoe hold down the third position in the Factory Stock division.

Thursday’s races will also a full show with Super Late Models, Four Cylinders, Enduro divisions racing for their chance to capture the checkered flag. Thursday’s show will also include bus, lawnmower races along with spectator drags. Sault Ste Marie’s Dustin Jackson heads into the event sitting in first in the Super Late Model division with Sault Ste Marie’s Ray Raynor Jr and Heyden’s Robert Hiiemma rounding out the top three. In the four-cylinder division with only five points separating first place Chuck Siddall, Terrance Devon, and Jack Lannigan sit in second, and third respectively entering Thursday’s race night. Rookie driver Shanna Harten is only seven points behind the four-cylinder leader Siddall heading into August 4th.
